Initially released in Japan in 1993, Secret of Mana took the world by storm with its innovative real-time battle system and gorgeously rendered world. It continues to stand out among other action RPGs for its seamless gameplay that anyone from beginner to veteran can enjoy.
One of the most memorable elements of the Mana series is the Ring Command menu system. With the single press of a button, a ring-shaped menu appears on the screen, where players can use items, change weapons, and do a variety of other actions without needing to switch screens. This Ring Command menu system for which the Mana series is so well known was first introduced in Secret of Mana and has since appeared in most games in the series.
Play as Randi and his two companions, Primm and Popoi, as they adventure all around the world. At the center of our epic story is the mystical power of Mana. Battle the empire in its quest for control of Mana. Befriend the eight elementals who wield the forces of nature itself. Numerous encounters await at every turn.

If you loved this game back when you played it on your Snes, youre gonna love it even more now that you can play it whenever you want on your phone. Its music and story and graphics will still give you the chills, 20 years later !
But i have one question, can i play multiplayer with my friends?
It is one of great games. I cannot be waiting for Seiken Densetsu 3 (聖剣伝説3, lit. "Holy Sword Legend 3").
When I was a kid this was one of my fav games. I have been searching for this game for so long to reminise. From the start of the music I knew this was a great buy. The story is great grafix are fine music is good, and the memories of SNES days cant be bought. I love this game, a must have for me!! Now please release FF 2and 3 the SNES version, and FF7 ps1 version and Chrono Trigger and yes Ill be in Iphone heaven!!!
The game is awesome but the controls are pure crap and you still cant get the mana sword

Some bad moments

OMG fix the controls. Make a real d-pad and an attack button that works all the time, not 1/3 of the time. This game is unplayable. Its so imprecise and frustrating. Learn from the controls of Gamevil inc. please.
The computer ai should at least be able to handle a simple enemy their level and recognize dangers such as mobs especially ones hitting them at range with an object in the way currently the ai stands there until your companion dies... Square could have improved your ai also when you select attack nearest they should actually do that my guy run across screens ignore targets and my action set up. A bug was added last patch that causes the option ring to appear while hitting action and movement buttons. Very annoying.
Once you get to the upper lands and have to "walk the seasons from spring to winter, spring again" the game basically ends due to the path failing to open. Ive know several people having the same problem. If it wasnt for that the game would be awesome.
This is one of the best in the Square-Enix classic catalogue, and although I have enjoyed replaying the game thus-far on my iPhone, sadly missed is the cross-device save game support that IOS users have come to expect in the last year with games (such as Pocket Planes) that allow a simple, yet play-time counter saving option to switch back and forth between devices... The port is perfect, after almost 30 hours of bliss --- but I must say --- would EASILY rate this app 4 out of 5 if it supported the aforementioned CLOUD SAVING, and would be 5 out of 5 if you gave the AGING, CAREER MINDED, AND VERY BUSY DEMOGRAPHIC of fans of this classic exactly what they wanted... a VERSION UPDATE for both IPAD USERS AND IPHONE USERS that didnt require an X2 resize button... AND the inability to enjoy the game in a TIME MINDFUL convenient fashion, ACROSS BOTH DEVICES!! Without hesitation, heck, Id even pay another $10 for said cross compatible iPad version --- if your company pulled this off and managed to allow the import of MY PRECIOUS 30 HOUR SAVE GAME FROM IPHONE TO IPAD VIA THE CLOUD! Keep up the good work, but please - this is my favourite title in the Square library... Dont substitute the usual Square-Enix perfection that weve all come to expect with technological ignorance and mediocrity -- especially when you are charging what you charge, which is more than fair if the game was augmented as Ive suggested above. Thanks.
This game should be priced way higher than it is, because it needs to come bundled with a complementary session in anger management. The controls are simply hateful, and will very nearly ruin this timeless classic for you. "Whats that? You wanted to swing your sword? Nah, I think Ill just stand here and get beat up instead." Its also a little buggy (prepare yourself to have the ring menu frequently popping up randomly without your asking). If nothing else, if you found the original to be on the easy side, youll be more challenged by this port. Unfortunately, you might not find the nature of the challenge to be very enjoyable.
Says in the description that its compatible with ipad. This means that its an iPhone app that will zoom to stretch and almost fill the screen... Almost... Would not have bought if I knew this. Deleted.
